Types of industrial flooring technologies and how steel fibers improve them.

Choosing the right floor is an important aspect of assuring the continuity of operations in your building. There are many different types of industrial floors, depending on many different factors (ground conditions, load capacity, etc.). While these floors have been traditionally reinforced with steel mesh and/or rebar, steel fibers are a perfect replacement for these traditional methods as they offer unique benefits for every type of industrial floor.


Jointless floors

Jointless floors are flexible floors without contraction joints, but with special joint profiles dividing the floor in large panels. Fewer joints mean fewer weak points, increasing design space, overall durability and load resistance.

Seamless floors

Seamless floors

Seamless floors are floors without any contraction joints or expansion joints, resulting in a large, continuous surface delivering full serviceability.

Saw-cut floors

Saw-cut floors

A sawcut floor is floor without contraction joints, often on a grid of 20 x 20 ft., formed by saw cutting. This type of floor can only be made on a stable subsoil.

Pile supported floors

Pile supported floors

If ground conditions are poor, such that they are inadequate for a ground-supported floor, the floor may be constructed on closely spaced piles to transfer the load to deeper ground layers.

• Resistant to high loads
