Dramix reinforcement enabling resilient healthcare logistics flooring

Hellmann Calipar expanded its healthcare logistics operations at Dubai World Central with an additional 10,000 m² facility designed to support large-scale warehousing, storage and distribution activities for the healthcare sector across the Middle East.

The challenge

 

The healthcare logistics facility required a durable flooring system capable of handling continuous forklift movement, dense racking systems and high operational traffic while maintaining floor integrity in a demanding warehouse environment. Large open floor areas with reduced maintenance requirements were essential to ensure uninterrupted logistics operations.

The solution

 

Dramix® steel fibre reinforced concrete was selected to deliver a durable industrial flooring solution for the healthcare logistics facility. The fibre-only slab system provided enhanced crack control, improved load distribution and long-term durability under repetitive traffic conditions. By reducing conventional reinforcement requirements and enabling larger joint spacing, the solution supported faster construction while minimizing future maintenance interruptions. The resulting floor system was engineered to withstand intensive warehouse operations and maintain operational efficiency across the facility.
