Dramix jointless flooring supporting Caterpillar warehouse operations

Caterpillar Logistics Services developed a warehouse extension facility in Jebel Ali Free Zone to support growing logistics operations and material handling activities within one of the region’s key industrial and distribution hubs.

The challenge

 

The project required a jointless flooring system capable of supporting continuous forklift traffic and warehouse operations while minimizing maintenance requirements. Reduced saw cut joints and improved floor performance were essential to maintain operational efficiency and long-term durability across the warehouse extension facility.

The solution

 

Dramix® steel fibre reinforced concrete was selected to deliver a jointless industrial flooring solution for the warehouse extension facility. The fibre reinforced slab enabled reduced saw-cut joints, improved crack control and enhanced load distribution under repetitive traffic conditions. The solution also supported faster construction while providing long-term floor durability and reduced maintenance interruptions for continuous logistics operations.
