DSV Canada’s new headquarters location in Milton, Ontario, a suburb of Canada’s largest city Toronto, is a state-of-the-art logistics facility ideally positioned to serve the Canadian business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) markets.
A number of challenges existed during design and construction of this facility. It had to offer racking layout flexibility and wheeled traffic flexibility. It had to be constructed within a tight timeframe, and the overall cost of ownership had to be kept low.
Dramix® 4D steel fibers were used to reinforce over one million square feet of this logistics facility. A fast-track schedule and large pours possible with a jointless floor system allowed the completion of the slab within just four months. This new 1.1 million square feet (equivalent to 100,000 m²) facility is now the largest multi-customer logistics facility in Canada.
