The MRF Ltd manufacturing facility in Dahej GIDC, Gujarat, is one of the largest plants in India, expected to produce a million tires a month. This new manufacturing facility needed a reliable, budget friendly floor that would guarantee a continued operation.

The challenge

The challenge for the project was the large scale of the facility, including in-house warehouses, and the pressure to complete the project within a tight timeline. Second, the floor needed to be strong and durable enough to withstand the heavy use of a manufacturing facility

The solution

Using 18 kgs of Dramix® 3D 80/60 BG steel fiber reinforcement, along with M30 concrete, this flooring solution was able to meet the requirements of the project, providing a strong and durable surface that could withstand the heavy use of the manufacturing facility. Because there is no cutting, tying forming of rebar reinforcement, a lot of construction time was saved; and the project was completed successfully within the tight timeline.
