    Fibers that perform in cold temps, and save construction time

    Paris Baguette Singapore, owned by SPC Group, has partnered with a local company in Malaysia to expand its stores across the country. The Johor-based SPC center produces cakes and desserts for Paris Baguette outlets in Southeast Asia. Its cold storage facility as well as its driveway needed a smart concrete reinforcement solution.

    The challenge

     

    The project faced two main challenges. First, the cold storage required a flooring solution to meet stringent standards and prevent large floor cracks, which could cause various issues. 

     

    Second, the external driveway needed a design that could accommodate a tight construction schedule with initial double-layer reinforcement.

    The solution

     

    For the cold storage, we applied the 4D 65/60BG product with a dosage of 20kg/m³ and top mesh. This combislab (fibers and mesh) design met the cold temperature requirements and ensured a high-quality floor, making this solution ideal for cold storage flooring. For the driveway, our solution effectively reduced the construction time, because a double mesh would have resulted in more time-consuming cutting, tying and bending.
