High-performance quality and durabilty floors for a long-lasting solution

Toyota Kirloskar Motors Ltd is a leading manufacturer of automobiles in India. For their new car manufacturing facility in Bidadi, Karnataka, India, they required a durable, heavy-duty pavement.

The challenge

The challenge was to design a heavy loaded (110 tons axle load) floor with 26 tons point load completely with Dramix® steel fibers, replacing conventional steel mesh. The project required a heavy-duty saw-cut floor that could withstand the weight of four fully-loaded containers of 26 tons each and a Kalmar Reach Stacker.

The solution

By using steel fiber reinforcement, the need for mesh was completely eliminated, allowing the floor’s thickness to be significantly reduced. The product used was Dramix® 3D 80/60 BG, used with M 40 concrete. Toyota Kirloskar Motors Ltd chose Dramix® for their flooring and paving application due to its quality and durability
