Executed in 2023–24 across Hyderabad and Vadodara, this marquee aerospace project for Airbus, in partnership with Tata Advanced Systems, involved saw-cut and seamless floors. The Vadodara facility was inaugurated by India’s PM, with outdoor pavements specially designed using SYNMIX fibers.
Two key challenges included designing seamless zones for JIG placements to avoid interference with saw cuts, requiring precision planning. The outdoor compass area, a steel-free zone, needed special reinforcement to meet aerospace standards. Both challenges demanded unique design and material strategies for performance and compliance.
Dramix® 3D 80/60BG steel fibers were used in structurally loaded areas with floor thicknesses of 200 250 mm and fiber dosages between 15–30 kg/m³. JIG placement zones were delivered as seamless, while saw cuts were provided in other indoor areas for optimized performance. For the compass area outdoors, SYNMIX SP55 synthetic fibers were used to ensure zero steel interference. The local manufacturing of Dramix fibers in Partners India ensured seamless delivery and helped maintain tight project timelines. This hybrid approach offered durability, flexibility, and compliance without compromising on quality or schedule.
