Completed in 2016, the 8,000 sqm Al Shaya project in Bahrain supports the company’s diverse retail operations across major malls and high streets. As a leading multi-brand retailer in the region, Al Shaya continues to expand its footprint, creating spaces that accommodate a wide range of international consumer brands.
To meet the needs of its extensive retail and logistics activities, the project required a durable flooring system suitable for high-traffic movement, storage functions and daily operational loads. The large 8,000 sqm area demanded a reliable solution that could be constructed efficiently while delivering long-term performance for Al Shaya’s retail environment.
Dramix 80/60 steel fibre reinforcement was selected to support the project’s flooring requirements across the 8,000 sqm site. By replacing traditional reinforcement, Dramix enabled smoother and faster installation, reducing on-site complexity. The fibres provided consistent crack control and durable performance, making them suited for the operational demands of Al Shaya’s commercial and retail facilities. The overall solution contributed to a robust and efficient flooring system aligned with the project’s functional needs.
