One of the leading tyre manufacturers in India, Apollo Tyres, opened a new manufacturing facility in Chennai, India. To improve their operational performance and reduce periodic maintenance, their design office, A&E, proposed a seamless flooring solution.

The challenge

The client wanted a seamless floor with no joints to reduce maintenance and improve the dust-free performance of the floor.

The solution

Dramix® steel fiber reinforcement provided a crack width design seamless floor solution, which has no saw-cuts and no expansion joints. The joints are a floors’ weak spots, so eliminating these makes this floor exceptionally durable. NECTARC associates ensured smooth execution of the project. The seamless floor solution was well received by Apollo Tyres and was later adopted in their plant in Hungary as well.
