The Bacchus Whisky Chengdu Warehouse in Qionglai, Chengdu, is a groundbreaking project that has been recognized as a leading example of modern logistics technology. This 5,000 m² warehouse, featuring a 30m high shelving system, demonstrates the perfect integration of smart logistics and advanced construction techniques.
The project faced several challenges:
High Load Requirements: The floor needed to support 30 m high shelves with a load of 18 tons/m².
Operational Efficiency: Logistics equipment required a highly flat floor for high-speed operation.
Time Constraints: Traditional reinforcement methods couldn’t meet the project’s tight timeline.
Bekaert, in collaboration with Contractor Suzhou Deyuan, designed a customized Dramix® 4D steel fiber f loor solution:
Low-carbon Materials: 4D steel f ibers replaced traditional rebar, reducing costs and long-term maintenance while supporting sustainability.
Progressive Design: 24 m × 24 m joint-free slabs with armored joints were constructed, completing 5,000 m² of concrete flooring in just 7 days.
Precise Construction: Contractor Suzhou Deyuan ensured proper execution in every step, achieving a flatness and levelness of FF65/FL45. The Bacchus Whisky project highlights the effectiveness of the Dramix® 4D steel fiber floor solution for high-difficulty warehousing scenarios, setting new standards for smart logistics technology.
