Pencetakan Tenaga Sdn Bhd, a leading packaging company in Malaysia, is expanding its printing and packing business locally and overseas. The company required a new 13,000m² space for machinery, equipment, and storage. Bekaert was tasked with providing a solution that would speed up construction time and manage rising labor and material costs.
The primary challenge was to expedite construction while keeping costs in check amidst rising labor and building material prices. The original design for the internal and external floors involved a single-layer mesh.
Bekaert proposed a design using Dramix® 3D 80/60BG steel fibers at a dosage of 15kg/m³. After several discussions, the customer was convinced that 3-dimensional steel fiber reinforcement would be more reliable and cost-effective. This solution not only reduced construction time but also ensured a high-quality reinforced floor.
