    Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper Topping slab

    Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (RAPP) is a leading pulp and paper producer in Indonesia. The company decided to upgrade its manufacturing facility to meet the growing demand for paper products. The project aimed to provide a modern, efficient, and cost effective solution for stacking heavy Jumbo paper rolls.

    The challenge

     

     Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (RAPP), one of the largest pulp and paper producers in Indonesia, needs to enhance the flatness of its floor due to the evolution, changes, and upscaling of its business. The company must stack jumbo paper rolls, each weighing 1.5 to 2 tons, up to four layers high. Given the urgency of the situation, a solution must be implemented promptly.

    The solution

     

     An unbonded topping slab, 15 cm thick, with Dramix® 4D 65/60BG f iber was chosen. This jointless f loor design provided the necessary strength and durability to support the heavy loads while ensuring long-term reliability and reducing maintenance costs. The jointless construction also contributed to the overall efficiency and functionality of the manufacturing facility.
