Sunway, a major developer, is constructing a 20,000 m² warehouse named Emerald Tycoon Warehouse at Sunway Emerald Park in Sepang, Malaysia. The project, which began in July 2024, will feature various racking systems, including AS/RS, and will be equipped with the latest storage and material-handling systems.
General contractor is looking to achieve cost reduction through Value Engineering while simultaneously aiming to shorten the project completion duration.
The Dramix® solution utilized a Combi design with 4D 8060BGE at 25 kg/m³ and a top mesh for the slab on pile design in both the internal floor and the loading bay. Additionally, 4D 80600BGE at 20 kg/m³ was used for the concrete topping, with saw cuts made at an average span of 12 meters.
Dramix® collaborated with the main contractor and flooring applicator to propose an alternative design that optimized floor thickness. Traditionally, a thicker topping layer was required due to rebar and piling. Steel fibers eliminated the need for rebar, allowing a thinner topping layer, simplifying construction, saving costs, and improving the timeline.
