Expert Talks - SigmaSlab® - New concrete reinforcement technology

The Coppel's logistics center, located in Texcoco, Mexico, with a floor of more than 47,000 m2 (500,000 square feet), has been reinforced with the new SigmaSlab® technology. SigmaSlab® technology is the result of the partnership between Bekaert and CCL. Through the combination of Dramix® steel fibers and CCL's post-tensioning systems, it becomes possible to increase joint spacing without compromising performance or construction speed thus making it the best solution for concrete reinforcement in a wide range of projects. Moreover, SigmaSlab® technology reduces the carbon footprint of concrete. This project in Mexico was executed by RCR Industrial Flooring.
