Dramix® Loop™  tackles one of the construction industry's biggest challenges—minimizing CO₂ emissions—by transforming tyre cord from end-of-life truck tyres into high-performance steel fibres.

Being the world's leading steel cord manufacturer, reinforcing 1 in every 4 tyres, Bekaert prioritized finding a circular use for this high-grade steel. This resulted in the creation of the first high-performing steel fibre specifically designed to support a truly circular economy and engineered for concrete reinforcement. As such these steel fibres have an ultra-low carbon footprint, without compromising on performance.

What truly sets Dramix® Loop™  apart is its high tensile strength of 2.700 MPa avg., combined with strict production tolerances that ensure high precision and reliable performance in non-structural concrete applications. On the other hand, their diameter of 0,27 mm avg. makes it possible to achieve a denser fibre network. This, in turn, allows for lower fibre dosages per cubic meter of concrete.

Our Dramix® Loop™  portfolio includes three variants, each engineered to balance workability, dosage, and reinforcement precision – giving you the flexibility to match your mix, project, and performance needs.

Built for a circular future

Being designed to support a truly circular economy, Dramix® Loop™ steel fibres deliver performance without compromise:

  • Sourced from end-of-life truck tyres.
  • Near zero carbon footprint, with an EPD value of 0,0436 kg CO₂e/kg, verified for sustainable building.
  • Contributes to circular construction goals.
  • Maximized benefits of steel fibre reinforcement.

Engineered to perform – Confidently

Don’t let ‘second life’ fool you, as these steel fibres have an excellent variation of specifications:

  • 2.700 MPa avg. tensile strength across all variants.
  • Thin diameter (0,27 mm avg.) = more fibres per kg = better stress distribution.
  • Controlled tolerances ensure consistent reinforcement.
  • Clean steel fibres = Only 1,2%-1,7% avg. of residual rubber content remains, allowing for cleaner mixing and smoother finishing.

Adapts to your project

Every project is different. That’s why Dramix® Loop™ offers application flexibility through a tailored range of fibre lengths and tolerances:

  • Adapt fibre dosing based on application demands.
  • Blend with Dramix® steel fibres for a hybrid solution.
  • Backed by our testing and technical support.
