Why choose Dramix® for underground reinforcement?

Doing more with less

Doing more with less

Our Dramix steel fibers are adapted to specific commercial and technical requirements, at every step in the value chain, whether it is for segmental, in-situ or sprayed concrete lining. Depending on the application, we offer a unique fiber.

Successfully applied in thousands of projects and millions of square feet around the world,

Dramix® steel fibers have proven themselves to be an extremely durable reinforcement solution for underground projects.

We offer the right fiber to the right use.

Dramix® 3D

Dramix® 3D

Dramix® 3D is the cost-efficient fiber for non-structural support, such as temporary linings. They serve their purpose and provide the support needed to ensure the safety of your underground operations, but other fibers are preferred when the mine or tunnel is to be used for over 100 years.

Dramix® 4D

Dramix® 4D

Dramix® 4D provides optimal crack control to concrete structures with high serviceability requirements, ideal for segmental lining and permanent sprayed concrete linings.

Dramix® 5D

Dramix® 5D

Dramix® 5D remains firmly anchored inside the concrete as the wire slowly elongates to

compensate stress. It is the perfect solution for cast in-place, structural precast elements.

Glued fibers are a cut above the rest

Glued fibers are a cut above the rest

Dramix® steel fibers are bundled with water-soluble glue. The glue helps prevent fiber balling during mixing and ensures a

homogenous distribution of fibers throughout the concrete mix. This results in:

• A more efficient mixing process

• Three-dimensional reinforcement

• No exposed fibers at the concrete surface

• Better crack control

• A homogenous steel fiber mix

Synmix® HP 55

Synmix® HP 55

This type of fiber is primarily employed for non-structural purposes, and it finds use in certain temporary sprayed concrete applications where significant deformation, such as in mining operations, can occur. Among macro synthetic fibers, Synmix HP55 offers the most favorable cost-to-performance ratio in terms of cost per joule.

Duomix® M6 Fire

Duomix® M6 Fire

Duomix® polypropylene fibres were developed as an enhancement to the BEKAERT® range of world renowned steel fibres named Dramix®. Duomix® Fire (M6) has proved suitable with all fire curves.

The combination of Duomix® Fire (M6) and Dramix® significantly reduces spalling. According to test reports up to 98% and more compared with non-fibrous concrete. Required concrete characteristics, such as compressive strength, water resistance, freeze-thaw resistance remain untouched, post-crack resistance and shear strength are even improved by Dramix®
